16 cols x 8 rows hub 75 p20 panel

thiz panel 16 cols x 8 rows . I am ha ving trou ble. Will the lib work with an 8 row panel ?

I can’t think of any reason why not.

i have not been able to find info on 8 rows x 16 column rgb panel after a search on this resource. it seems odd if it works

Could you show a pictures of the panel, front and rear side?

photos show /.demo D1 runtext16.ppm – led-rows=16….but , –led-rows=8 gives ‘error pixel out of range.

the module is labelled LHRC - 20EROB-RBG-2SYN V1.,0. THE board has 24 jxi5020 sipo registers 24x16 outputs = 8x3x16 rgb leds seems to be statically driven. i have tested the module and know the pixel layout, but my multiplex mapper could be deficient. I would like to know if –led-rows=8 is an acceptable command. my picx uploads are not succeeding. i will try again later

thanks

Board707,

I have uploaded the pics requested. When I use –led-rows=8, I get the assertion message as shown. Using –led-rows-16 does not yield an error message but e’g with text-example -f 5x7.bdf yields readable text but only 4 rows. Any help is appreciated.

The only option that seems realistic to me is for you to edit the library’s source code yourself and add support for 8-row panels.
From what I can see in the photo, these are very old panels with DIP LEDs. They’ve long been out of use, and it’s unlikely anyone other than you will need to connect such panels.
